Mother's Day curated by SABATO Magazine
What motherhood looks like through a lens
This year we will celebrate Mother’s Day remotely from our loved ones. Since governmental measures are keeping us at home, we won’t hug our moms, but meet them in video calls. To mark this upcoming and very uncommon Mother’s Day, 28 Vignon Street is proud to present an online exhibition that shows motherhood through a lens.
Specially for the occasion, Sabato Magazine was invited to make a selection from the extensive archive of 28 Vignon Street and Gallery FIFTY ONE. What they discovered were heart-warming and moving masterpieces from today to the very early days of photography: striking photos by Harry Gruyaert, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Vivian Maier, Elliot Erwitt, Elinor Carucci and many more. They show the full spectrum of parenthood emotions, including love, intimacy, happiness, anger and exhaustion. Let these images soothe you on this particular Mothers Day.
The Belgian magazine Sabato is a weekly luxury supplement to the financial newspapers De Tijd and L’Echo.tijd.be/sabato
